Jail vs Work

IN PRISON   you spend the majority of your time in an 8 X 10 cell.
AT WORK    you spend the majority of your time in a 6 X 8 cubicle.

IN PRISON   you get three meals a day, free of charge.
AT WORK    you only get a break for one meal and you pay for it.

IN PRISON   you get time off for good behaviour.
AT WORK    you get more work for good behaviour.

IN PRISON   the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK    you must carry around a security card and open all the doors for yourself.

IN PRISON   you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK    you get fired for watching TV and playing games.

IN PRISON   you get your own toilet.
AT WORK    you have to share with some idiot who pees on the seat.

IN PRISON   they allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK    you can't even speak to your family.

IN PRISON   the taxpayers pay all expenses with no work required.
AT WORK    you get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON   you spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out.
AT WORK    you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

IN PRISON   you must deal with sadistic wardens.
AT WORK    they are called managers.

3 Little Pigs (Singlish version)

got this frm my english teacher, Miss Adeline Ramakrishnan.

she showed us this at the end of the sec 4s' oral skills workshop on thurs.
it's lame but hope it makes you laugh a little.

Once upon a time got tree little pig, call them Ah Beng, Ah Seng and Ah Tee.
They think they big alady n no wan liv wif mama, because liv wif mama very the pek chek, very the malu, n oso will become suaku!
So they say goodbye to their mama and go out of the house.
Mama tell them to be careful of Big Bad Woof, because you know, this big bad sabo-king want to eat them.

They tell their mama,
"We know lah, not scared one.
We got chap (join) sa-la-kao (369) okay!"

The 1st pig, Ah Beng, think he very crever, he oso cannot wait one, very kancheong type.
So he build one house very quickly.
Finish very fast - how he do one?
Aiyo, he use straw lor, just tie and tie together and then very quick okay alady!
Alamak, house just ready, just move in only, the Big Bad Woof come alady.
This woof very crever at kay see (pretending), so he pretend and say nice things and ask Ah Beng to let him go inside the house.
Little Ah Beng oso quiet crever, he say,
"No way man, I know you, don't bluff lah!
Sorry you not welcome here."

The woof say, "You no let me in ah?
You dare meh?
I blow your house down then you know."
And he blow and he blow and he poon and he poon and he use all his inside strength and jia lat man, Ah Beng house come down.

The 2nd pig, Ah Seng oso build one house better one lah - use abastos.
More strong right?
More steady lah.
Alamak this woof oso come to Ah Seng house and pretend and ask the pig let him in.
Ah Beng got tell Ah Seng everything alady mah, so they two don't let the Tua Pai Lang in.
So the woof say, "Skew me, if you no let me come in, I will blow the house down."

The two pigs think, "How can?
This house abastos leh, how can blow down one?"
So they don't care lah, carry on doing their own things lor.
Now outside the Big Bad Woof buey tahan liao.

Stupid sia, how can suan Tua Pai Lang?

So he breathe in and breathe out and get himself ready to poon the house down.
The two little pigs inside the house can even make face at the woof.
Wa lao, they so bo chap!

So the woof poon and poon and poon and poon until his lung nearly pichia.
And then the abastos shake and then alamak oso come down.
Wa piang, the two little pigs until hiam hiam see, quick quick run to Ah tee house.

When Ah Tee see them come, open big door wide, welcome them.
Ah tee house use brick one.
The woof come again and the tree little pigs tell him cannot chiam siong (negotiate), they no let him in one.
He really pek chek, so he poon and poon and poon.
Suay for him lah this house cannot come down, he poon and poon until lung go bust.
Then he got heart attack and then go into coma, lagi jia lat.

Wa lao the tree brothers so happy, celebrate like siao because enemy number 1 kena alady, no gif them trouble liao.
In those days oso no ang chap lee chia (ambulance) so he die lor!
The tree pigs live together happeelee ever after.

Moral of the story:
1. Don't be so tam sim (greedy).
    Blow down one house, two house not enough want to blow all three.
    Give people some face, don't be too hao lian!
    In the end too tam sim oso kena - woof kena heart attack.
    Same lah we all oso laidat, enoughis enough but some people pia until mati.

2. If you speak like this during your oral exam, will definitely fail one you know!

Have I got a split personality?

March Holidays

yes!
one week break.

can wake up at 8am for more than 2 days a week.

Holiday ASSignments

1. e maths holiday ass.
2. a maths holiday ass.
3. chinese assay
4. prepare for chinese test (2.5 - 2.8)

5. physics holiday ass.
6. english compre (nov 2002) + summary
7. english journal writing (5 entries)
8. english assay

tt's all?
only 8?
i expected more.
i want more!
how do you teachers expect me to get A1s w/ so little ass.s?
haha.
it seems impossible to finish these in one week.
but I BELIEVE I CAN.
n I BELIEVE I WILL.
i'll do my best to finish these.

Sacrifices are necessary

thus i decided to forgo cell retreat at Neale's.
wa lao.
wat a big sacrifice, for me!

tmr got Catholic High (Primary) homecoming.
compulsory.
but i plan to take the risk.
maths tuition at 9am is more impt thn welcoming kids back to Bishan at 8.15am.
agree?
nvm.

Report book

ah not interested in the results at all.
i think i'm the only one w/ Conduct: Good.
everyone else got Very Good.
i'm not the only one who makes noise in class.
there are at least 2 more others who do so too.

my 'beloved' form teacher is biased.
tt's wat i think of her.
she encouraged everyone else when they got their report books back.

i admit n accept tt my conduct in class is the worst.
but there r oso a few others who can be on par w/ me.
why am i the only one w/ Good conduct?
now my mummy is going to pull my ear n slap my buttocks.
you see la!

Looking on the bright side

ok enough of the bad side.

i'm supposed to be positive every time.
so here it is.

God knows me best.

He used this same form teacher to tell me tt i'm an attention-seeker.
this occurred ytd.
i was clowning away n she finally knew how to deal w/ me.
she said, "i'm not going to be bothered by some attention-seeker."

at tt instant, i lowered my head n looked down on my table.

she continued teaching.
for the next few mins, i talked to myself, n God.
"why am i so different frm what i am in church?"

how i wish my behaviours can swop their places.
i certainly don't mean tt i shd be an attention-seeker in church.
i mean i shd be more talkative in church.
n more restrained in school, like a nerd.

Photos of my O-Level mates

suddenly had an urge to take photos of my classmates.
so i brought my cam to school today.
i started to ask ppl to help take pics of my classmates n me.
they all tot tt i was going to leave them tmr.
hey, tt might be true noe.
Life is so unpredictable n fragile.

Another day created just to thank God

1 Thessalonians 5:18:
"In everything give thanks:
for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus
concerning you."

got a few things to thk God for.

1stly, my sis came back frm her Outdoor Adventure Camp!
she's sleeping on the sofa right now, totally undisturbed by my noisy typing.

i kinda missed her for the past 5 days, really!
missed her presence.
missed her laughs.
missed her voice.
missed her farts.
haha no la she doesn't fart very often.
i fart more thn her i think.
:P

2ndly, my school did ok for O's so got "half-day" on friday.
although we might get released frm sch only abt 2 hrs earlier, i'm still thkful.

3rdly, i got A1 for my Chinese O Level Exam.
for those who dunno, i took the exam last yr when i was in sec 3.

when i first took the exam 2 yrs ago, when i was in my first sec 3 yr, i got A2.

the result slip i got was B3 but it turned out to be A2 on my cert.
so what i pray now is tt there won't be any mistake this time.
i pray tt the A1 i see now on my slip is for real.
other thn tt, i thk God i don't have to be forced to drop Higher Chinese Language (HCL).
i'm not good at HCL but i don't wish to drop it either.
cos i don't wanna take Chinese in JC, although i like the language.

1:55pm
we were all in the hall.
the sec 4 graduates n those current sec 4s waiting for our Chinese results.
if i don't rem wrongly, our top student got 10 A1s.
then got other 9 students got 9 A1s.
i was motivated there n then.

2:30pm
i smsed all the O Level graduates on my mobile phone list.
many of them got very good grades!
i was further motivated.

i tell myself:
i really gotta sacrifice alot of things in order to achieve 8 pts to get into SAJC.
i gotta start by sacrificing little things like cell meetings, service, etc.
then slowly i might oso have to forgo Teens' Time.
the hardest thing to forgo will be camps n retreats, but i will try.

people, i'm going for a higher level of honour.
i don't want to glorify God by only being faithful every week.
i want to bring the highest glory of my academic results to God.
tt will be my greatest driving force to study hard at this point of my life.
pls understand.

not only am i responsible for my life, but doing my best at this moment puts me in the best place in the next moment.

MAY THIS DAY CHANGE ME FOR THE REST OF THIS YEAR...
